Geez

I think I forgot about this thing.

Not much going on really...reading some Fritz Leiber, listening to Big Country, and fighting a nasty cold. UGH!! Much hate for the cold.

Been messing around with a couple of story/thingy ideas. Trying to get back into school, umm, that's about it I think. The world keeps going.

and now...more time wasting....

I Am A: Chaotic Good Elf Ranger Fighter

Alignment:
Chaotic Good characters are independent types with a strong belief in the value of goodness. They have little use for governments and other forces of order, and will generally do their own things, without heed to such groups.

Race:
Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance.

Primary Class:
Rangers are the defenders of nature and the elements. They are in tune with the Earth, and work to keep it safe and healthy.

Secondary Class:
Fighters are the warriors. They use weapons to accomplish their goals. This isn't to say that they aren't intelligent, but that they do, in fact, believe that violence is frequently the answer.

Deity:
Solonor Thelandria is the Chaotic Good elven god of archery and the hunt. He is also known as the Keen Eye, the Great Archer, and the Forest Hunter. His followers respect nature, and only hunt when needed, but are quick to defend the forest from intruders. Their favorite weapon is the bow, and they tend to be extremely talented with it. Solonor Thelandria's symbol is an arrow with green fletchings.

I love time wasters :)

You Belong in Amsterdam

A little old fashioned, a little modern - you're the best of both worlds. And so is Amsterdam.
Whether you want to be a squatter graffiti artist or a great novelist, Amsterdam has all that you want in Europe (in one small city).

I'm such a slacker...

I've really been putting off any kind of writing and updates the last couple months. Been settling into my new job, working my butt off, etc. So, hopefully now I can get back into the writing groove. I'm getting excited about working on a project again. I don't know what it will eventually become, but it started out as a comic book idea. Who knows where I'll end up with it. But, at least it's getting the fire under my butt again! Woo!

Anyway, here is the bit I got tagged with earlier and never got a chance to finish it up and post :p Bad me!

I've been tagged by Mahesh for the "Five Weird Habits" meme. OMG!! :O

The Rules: The first player of this game starts with the topic "five weird habits" and people who get tagged need to write an entry about their five weird habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next five people to be tagged and link to their web journals. Don't forget to leave a comment in their blog or journal that says "You have been tagged" (assuming they take comments) and tell them to read yours.

1. I often quote Futurama AND Star Wars in conversations...

2. I have music on, constantly, unless I'm sleeping. At work, home, in the car, wherever I can. Is that weird?

3. I hate stopping for gas, even though I don't have to pump it or even get out of the car.

4. Even though it hurts my hand, I prefer writing by hand rather than on the computer. Though I don't actually write by hand much anymore. :p

5. I cannot eat Ranch dressing on salad, but I can have it on anything else. Pizza, fries, etc.

---

Next victims: Since I took so long to do this, I'm not gonna tag anyone this time :p

Harry Potter

and the Goblet of Fire. Saw it yesterday. It was very good. I enjoyed it a lot. Even having read the book, knowing there was so much cut out, it was still a good flick. I think it's getting to the point now, where little kids shouldn't really be watching it. Scary stuff! Well, now we must wait, drooling, for the next book/movie to come out to the masses.

The cats...

haven't had much yapping to do recently. Except for the random meowmeowMEOWmeow!! of gimme food now dangit!! I love my cat, but he's such a nag!

I'm currently reading another Neal Stephenson book. The Diamond Age. I really think I'm liking this guy a lot. His work is slick without being pretentious. Me likey! I also like the very different views of the future he puts in there. Fresh, interesting and in-depth without being an information overload.

Movies, newest thing I've seen: Serenity. Already posted about that. Anxiously awaiting the next Harry Potter movie, and Narnia. I'm sure there are more, but can't think of them at the moment.
